Tips:

  • Choose the right cut of beef: For this recipe, it's best to use a flank steak or skirt steak. These cuts are relatively thin and cook quickly, making them ideal for stir-frying.
  • Slice the beef against the grain: This will help the beef to cook evenly and tenderize it.
  • Marinate the beef: Marinating the beef in a mixture of soy sauce, rice wine, and spices will help to flavor it and make it more tender.
  • Use a hot wok or skillet: A hot wok or skillet will help to sear the beef and prevent it from sticking.
  • Cook the beef in batches: If you're cooking a large amount of beef, cook it in batches to avoid overcrowding the pan. This will help to ensure that the beef cooks evenly.
  • Don't overcook the beef: Beef is best when it's cooked to medium-rare or medium. Overcooking will make it tough and chewy.
  • Use fresh vegetables: Fresh vegetables will add flavor and color to your dish.
  • Add the vegetables at the end of cooking: This will help to prevent them from overcooking and becoming mushy.
  • Serve the dish immediately: Beef and rice is best served immediately after it's cooked. This will ensure that the beef is tender and the vegetables are still crisp.
