Tips

  • Choose the right bell peppers: Look for bell peppers that are firm and have a deep, vibrant color. Avoid peppers that are bruised or have soft spots.
  • Prepare the bell peppers properly: Cut the bell peppers in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and ribs. Rinse the peppers thoroughly with cold water and pat them dry.
  • Cook the chicken thoroughly: Ground chicken can be a source of bacteria, so it's important to cook it thoroughly before stuffing the bell peppers. Cook the chicken over medium heat until it is no longer pink in the center.
  • Don't overstuff the bell peppers: Overstuffing the bell peppers can make them difficult to cook evenly. Fill the peppers loosely with the chicken mixture, leaving a little room at the top.
  • Bake the bell peppers at a high temperature: Baking the bell peppers at a high temperature will help to brown them and give them a crispy exterior. Bake the peppers at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 20-25 minutes, or until they are tender.
  • Serve the bell peppers immediately: Stuffed bell peppers are best served hot out of the oven. Top them with your favorite toppings, such as cheese, salsa, or sour cream, and enjoy!
