Tips:

  • Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor. A semisweet or bittersweet chocolate with a cocoa content of at least 60% is recommended.
  • If you don't have a candy thermometer, you can test the temperature of the chocolate by dropping a small amount into a glass of cold water. If the chocolate forms a firm ball, it is ready.
  • To make the peanut butter filling, use a creamy peanut butter for a smooth texture. If you prefer a chunkier filling, use a chunky peanut butter.
  • To make the bars easier to cut, chill them in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  • For a fun twist, try adding chopped nuts, dried fruit, or mini chocolate chips to the peanut butter filling.
  • If you don't have a baking sheet, you can use a 9x13 inch glass baking dish instead.
  • Store the bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
