FANTASTIC SALMON LOAF (SALMON PARTY LOG)

Fantastic Salmon Loaf (Salmon Party Log) image

This is hands down the best salmon log I've ever had. My family makes it for every get together, and my boyfriend demands it randomly (and he doesn't like salmon!). You don't have to chill it for that long, just until it's set.

Tips:

  • Choose the right salmon: For this recipe, it's best to use a salmon fillet that is skinless and boneless. You can also use smoked salmon, but be sure to adjust the cooking time accordingly.
  • Prepare the salmon: Before cooking, pat the salmon dry with paper towels. This will help to prevent the salmon from sticking to the pan and will also help to ensure that the salmon cooks evenly.
  • Season the salmon: Before cooking, season the salmon with salt, pepper, and any other desired spices. This will help to enhance the flavor of the salmon.
  • Cook the salmon: The best way to cook the salmon for this recipe is to pan-fry it. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the salmon. Cook the salmon for 3-4 minutes per side, or until it is cooked through. Be careful not to overcook the salmon, as it will become dry and tough.
  • Make the filling: While the salmon is cooking, you can make the filling. In a large bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, dill, and chives. Season the filling with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Assemble the party roll: Once the salmon is cooked and the filling is made, you can assemble the party roll. Spread the filling evenly over the salmon. Then, roll the salmon up tightly and wrap it in plastic wrap. Refrigerate the party roll for at least 30 minutes before slicing and serving.

Conclusion:

This Christmas salmon party roll is a delicious and festive dish that is perfect for any holiday gathering. The salmon is cooked to perfection and the filling is creamy and flavorful. This dish is sure to be a hit with your guests!
