SLOW COOKER CHUCK ROAST BARBECUE
I found this in my Southern Living Ultimate Quick and Easy cookbook and made it last night for the first time. This one's definitely a "keeper," as my husband puts it. Even our notoriously picky 3 year old loved it, if that tells you anything!

CHUCK ROAST BARBECUE
This is a really good recipe for when you are having a lot of people over. It is simple to put in crock pot or oven. Has really good flavor. I put in crock pot over night and just shred the beef in the morning and let it go on low until needed.

I made this for the 4th and it was an easy dinner to put together while my family was able to spend some time together. It doesn't have to be cooked just for the 4th of July.

Tips:
- Choose the right cut of meat: Chuck roast is a tough cut of meat, but it becomes tender and flavorful when cooked slowly. Other good options include brisket, short ribs, and pork shoulder.
- Trim the fat: Trim excess fat from the meat before cooking. This will help reduce the amount of grease in the final dish.
- Season the meat well: Season the meat with salt, pepper, and your favorite spices before cooking. This will help develop flavor.
- Cook the meat low and slow: Chuck roast should be cooked low and slow for at least 8 hours, or until it is fall-apart tender. This can be done in a Dutch oven in the oven, or in a slow cooker.
- Add moisture to the pot: Add a little bit of liquid to the pot when cooking the meat. This will help keep the meat moist and prevent it from drying out.
- Shred the meat: Once the meat is cooked, shred it with two forks. This will make it easier to serve and eat.
- Serve with your favorite sides: Chuck roast barbecue can be served with a variety of sides, such as coleslaw, potato salad, baked beans, or cornbread.

Chuck roast barbecue is a delicious and easy-to-make meal that is perfect for a crowd. By following these tips, you can make a tender and flavorful barbecue that everyone will love. So next time you're looking for a hearty and satisfying meal, give chuck roast barbecue a try!
