Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar into the bottom of prepared baking dish.
  • Combine brown sugar, walnuts, softened butter, flour, and cinnamon for streusel mixture in a bowl; mix with a fork until crumbly.

0.333 cup light brown sugar, packed
0.666 cup all-purpose flour
1.5 tsp ground cinnamon
0.25 tsp salt
4 Tbsp unsalted cold butter, cubed

  • Preheat oven to 325°F.
  • In a large bowl, mix together room temperature butter and sugar. It should be light and fluffy; do not over whip.
  • Stop and scrape down the sides and bottom of bowl.
