TUNA OR CRAB MEAT DIP

Tuna or Crab meat Dip image

A quick, different (not onion) dip...which can be made a day ahead of time. My teens like the leftovers (if there are any) as a "sandwich filling". If you prepare it a day ahead of time, use fewer seasonings (salt, pepper, horseradish, Worcestershire, etc.) and adjust seasonings to your taste before serving.

BAKED CRAB DIP (LIKE SIMON AND SEAFORT'S RESTAURANT)

Baked Crab Dip (Like Simon and Seafort's Restaurant) image

This recipe is close to my favorite appetizer from my favorite restaurant in Anchorage, Alaska. It's creamy and delicious served with thinly sliced crusty bread. This is different from most crab dips posted here because it doesn't call for cream cheese.

Decadent Smoked Salmon, Crab and Shrimp Spread and Dip Recipe image

Provided by nekmor

Number Of Ingredients 8

2 8oz Tubs of Salmon Cream Cheese Spread
1 8oz Package of Adler Smoked Salmon Lox
8 oz Small Cooked Shrimp (1 or 2 cans to taste works well drained)
8 oz Fresh Crabmeat (1 can works as well drained)
1/2 onion (cut in chunks for processor, dice as small as possible if using hand mixer)
1 TBSP Capers (drained)
1/4 C Heavy Cream
Fresh Dill To Taste

Steps:

  • Put All Ingredients Into A Food Processor* With The Blade Attatchment, Process On Low Speed Until Desired Consistency. Excellent On Bagels. Also As A Dip With Pita Chips, Bagel Chips Or Crackers. Very Good With Raw Vegtables. My Personal Favorite Is Stuffing This In A Hollowed Out Tomato, Topped With Panko Breadcrumbs For Crunch As A Decadent Weekend Brunch Item. Yummy * If You Don't Have A Food Processor, Chop All Ingredients And Mix With A Hand Mixer

Tips:

  • Use fresh, high-quality ingredients. Fresh crab and salmon will give your dip the best flavor and texture. If you can, buy your seafood from a reputable fishmonger or seafood market.
  • Don't overcook the crab or salmon. Overcooked seafood is tough and chewy. Cook the crab and salmon just until they are opaque and cooked through.
  • Use a food processor or blender to chop the crab and salmon. This will help to create a smooth and creamy dip.
  • Add plenty of flavorings to your dip. This could include things like mayonnaise, sour cream, cream cheese, lemon juice, dill, and chives.
  • Serve your dip chilled or at room temperature. Crab and salmon dip is delicious either way.

Conclusion:

Crab and salmon dip is a delicious and versatile appetizer or snack. It's easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste preferences. So next time you're looking for a crowd-pleasing dish, give crab and salmon dip a try. You won't be disappointed!
