Oh my gosh, these are good and so easy. Use your imagination. I stumbled upon this recipe after realizing just how many cake mixes I had in my pantry. I love the flavor the cream cheese gives it. I'm a chocolate chip fiend, so I used a Duncan Hines French Vanilla cake mix and a small package of chocolate chips. Comments from the Test Kitchen: Deliciously sweet and buttery! We used a butter cake mix and added chocolate chips. This, along with the cream cheese, turned these cookies into the ultimate sweet treat. Seriously good!

Tips:

  • For a richer flavor, use full-fat cream cheese.
  • Soften the cream cheese and butter to room temperature before mixing. This will help them blend together more easily and create a smoother batter.
  • Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing can make the cookies tough.
  • Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking. This will help the cookies hold their shape and prevent them from spreading too much.
  • Bake the cookies until the edges are golden brown and the centers are set. Overbaking can make the cookies dry and crumbly.
  • Let the cookies cool completely before frosting or decorating.

Conclusion:

Cream cheese cake mix cookies are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that are perfect for any occasion. They are soft, chewy, and have a sweet and tangy flavor.
