1 cup vegetable oil

½ cup butter

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 12-cup fluted tube baking pan (such as a Bundt® pan).
  • Combine white sugar and vegetable oil in the bowl of a stand mixer with a paddle attachment; beat in eggs and stir in vanilla extract.
  • Combine flour, baking soda, nutmeg, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl. Stir flour mixture into egg mixture until just blended. Stir in apples and pecans by hand to form a very heavy batter. Pour into the prepared pan.

1-1/2 cups unsweetened apple juice
1 cinnamon stick (3 inches)
1 cup Kraft caramel bits
1 tablespoon heavy whipping cream
Sliced apples and doughnut holes or vanilla ice cream
Optional toppings: chopped salted nuts, jimmies or miniature chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Place apple juice and cinnamon stick in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil; cook until liquid is reduced to 1/2 cup, about 10 minutes. Discard cinnamon stick., Reduce heat to medium; add caramel bits, half at a time, whisking after each addition until caramels are melted. Stir in cream; keep warm until ready to serve., Transfer to a serving dish; serve warm with apples and doughnut holes for dipping. Glaze can also be spooned over ice cream. Note: Nut lovers can add 1 cup of chopped walnuts or pecans to the cake batter.

1/4 cup cinnamon-sugar mixture (for dusting cake pan)
4 apples, chopped small
3 eggs
1 cup canola oil
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Steps:

½ cup milk
½ cup heavy cream
¼ cup butter
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons milk

2 tart apples - peeled, cored and sliced
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 (15 ounce) package pastry for double-crust pie
½ cup confectioners' sugar
1 tablespoon milk
¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon butter, softened

Steps:

  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup milk, 1/2 cup cream, and 1/4 cup butter. Heat until butter is melted, stirring occasionally. In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch, 2 tablespoons milk, and vanilla; stir into saucepan. Cook until thickened, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, and set aside to cool slightly.

1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup buttermilk

1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
3 eggs
3 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon salt
5 fresh apples, peeled and diced in 1/2-inch pieces
1 1/4 cups coarsley chopped pecans
2 1/4 teaspoons vanilla
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup white sugar
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 pinch salt

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325.
  • Put sugars and vegetable oil in a mixing bowl, beat til very well blended.
  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each egg.
