1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

salt and pepper, to taste
3/4 cup heavy cream
1 lb vermicelli, cooked and drained
fresh grated parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Brown meat and onion in a large saucepan.

1 cup chopped onion
1 teaspoon minced garlic
8 ounces lean ground beef
2 1/2 cups pasta sauce
1 1/2 teaspoons dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano

12 ounces spaghetti
1 1/2 cups low-fat sour cream
1 1/2 cups light ricotta cheese
2 ounces light cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
1 pinch salt
1 pinch fresh ground black pepper
1/2 cup shredded lowfat mozzarella cheese
2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F Spray a 13x9 inch glass baking dish with cooking spray.
  • In a nonstick saucepan, heat oil over medium heat; cook onions and garlic for 5 minutes or until softened. Stir in beef; cook for 5 minutes, or until no longer pink, stirring to break up meat. Stir in tomato sauce, basil, oregano, and hot pepper sauce. Reduce heat to a simmer; cook for 10 minutes, covered.

1 large chopped onion
2 clove garlic, minced
2 can(s) (14 oz.ea.) italian-style tomatoes, cut up
1/2 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
8 oz packaged dried fusilli, vermicelli, or spaghetti
1/2 c whipping cream
2 Tbsp snipped parsley
1 tsp dried italian seasoning, crushed

Steps:

  • 1. For Sauce: In a large saucepan, cook beef, onion, and garlic until beef is brown. Drain Fat. Stir in undrained tomatoes, Italian seasoning, sugar, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil and reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, about 40 minutes or until most of liquid has evaporated, stirring occasionally.
  • 2. Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package directions. Drain; keep warm.
