CREOLE CRAB CAKES

Creole Crab Cakes image

We've an abundance of crabs in coastal Louisiana. I know no one who has ever turned one of these down. Chill time not included. NOTE: For all the years that I've made these crab cakes, just recently I've used cracker crumbs in place of the breadcrumbs in the recipe and for the exterior coating and think that I might perfer that even more so.

Tips:

  • Use fresh crab meat for the best flavor. If you can't find fresh crab meat, frozen crab meat will also work, but it won't be as flavorful.
  • Be careful not to overcook the crab meat. Crab meat is very delicate and can easily become tough if it is overcooked.
  • Use a good quality Creole seasoning. Creole seasoning is a blend of spices that is used to flavor many Cajun and Creole dishes. It typically includes paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, and black pepper.
  • Adjust the amount of cayenne pepper to your taste. Creole seasoning can be spicy, so adjust the amount of cayenne pepper to your taste.
  • Serve the Creole crab noodles immediately. This dish is best served hot and fresh from the pan.

Conclusion:

Creole crab noodles are a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal. The combination of crab meat, Creole seasoning, and noodles is sure to please everyone at the table. So next time you're looking for a quick and tasty meal, give Creole crab noodles a try.
