CROCK POT APPLE CRISP

I used a similar recipe on here but the topping was too doughy. So I tried it with oatmeal added to the top part and it was much better. And it added some oalmeal goodness.I used McIntosh apples because I like apples that cook down.

Tips:

  • Use firm apples: Apples that are too soft will break down too much during cooking and become mushy. Choose firm apples like Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or Braeburn.
  • Peel and slice the apples thinly: This will help them cook evenly and quickly.
  • Use a variety of spices: Cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger are all classic apple pie spices. Feel free to experiment with other spices like cardamom, allspice, or cloves.
  • Don't overcook the crisp: The apples should be tender but still hold their shape. Overcooking will make them mushy.
  • Serve the crisp warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream: This is the perfect way to enjoy this classic dessert!

Conclusion:

Crock Pot Apple Crisp is an easy and delicious dessert that is perfect for any occasion. It is made with simple ingredients and can be prepared in just a few minutes. The slow cooker does all the work, so you can relax and enjoy your time with family and friends. Whether you are serving it for a weeknight dessert or a special occasion, Crock Pot Apple Crisp is sure to be a hit!
