2 medium green peppers, chopped
1 large onion, chopped
4 cups spaghetti sauce
1 can (28 ounces) diced tomatoes, undrained
1/2 pound sliced fresh mushrooms
1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 bay leaves
36 hamburger buns, split

Steps:

  • Cook the beef, sausage, peppers and onion in a Dutch oven over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Transfer to a 6-qt. slow cooker. Stir in the spaghetti sauce, tomatoes, mushrooms, tomato paste, garlic and bay leaves., Cover and cook on high until flavors are blended, 4-5 hours. Discard bay leaves. 1 green bell pepper, chopped in 1/2-inch pieces
1 1/3 cups crushed tomatoes, canned
1 tablespoon rosemary, finely chopped
salt & fresh ground pepper, to taste
