Tips:

  • Choose the right cut of beef: Flank steak, sirloin steak, or chuck roast are all good options for this recipe. Just make sure to slice the meat against the grain for more tender results.
  • Marinate the beef: Marinating the beef in a mixture of soy sauce, brown sugar, and garlic powder helps to tenderize the meat and add flavor. You can marinate the beef for as little as 30 minutes or up to overnight.
  • Use a large enough slow cooker: Make sure to use a slow cooker that is large enough to accommodate all of the ingredients. A 6-quart slow cooker is a good size for this recipe.
  • Don't overcrowd the slow cooker: If you overcrowd the slow cooker, the food will not cook evenly. Make sure to leave some space between the pieces of meat and vegetables.
  • Cook on low for the best results: Cooking the beef and broccoli on low for 8-10 hours will result in the most tender and flavorful meat. However, you can cook the dish on high for 4-6 hours if you are short on time.

Conclusion:

This Crockpot Beef and Broccoli is an easy and delicious meal that is perfect for a busy weeknight. The beef is tender and flavorful, and the broccoli is cooked to perfection. The sauce is a perfect balance of sweet and savory, and it coats the beef and broccoli beautifully. This dish is sure to be a hit with your family and friends.
