Tips:

  • Choose your haddock wisely: Look for haddock fillets that are firm and have a mild, sweet flavor. Avoid fillets that are thin or have brown spots.
  • Season the haddock fillets: Before baking, season the haddock fillets with salt, pepper, and any other desired spices. This will help to enhance the flavor of the fish.
  • Make sure the crumb topping is evenly distributed: When you're adding the crumb topping to the haddock fillets, make sure to spread it evenly over the entire surface of the fish. This will help to ensure that the fillets are evenly cooked and that the topping doesn't burn.
  • Bake the haddock fillets until they're cooked through: The haddock fillets should be baked until they're cooked through, but not overcooked. Overcooked haddock will be dry and tough. To check if the fillets are cooked through, insert a fork into the thickest part of the fish. If the fork comes out easily, the fillets are cooked.
  • Serve the haddock fillets immediately: Once the haddock fillets are cooked, serve them immediately. They're best served hot and fresh out of the oven.

Conclusion:

Crumb-topped baked haddock is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that's perfect for any occasion. With its crispy crumb topping and flaky, tender fish, it's a meal that everyone will enjoy. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy seafood dinner, give crumb-topped baked haddock a try. You won't be disappointed.
