2 tablespoons garam masala

Steps:

  • Place unpeeled potatoes in a large saucepan, fill with water, and place over high heat. Bring to a boil; cook until potatoes are soft and tender. Drain, cool, and peel potatoes.
  • Place potatoes in a large bowl. Add salt, garam masala, coriander powder, pepper, and cilantro. Mash with a large fork or potato masher until there are no lumps. 2 tablespoons butter
3 large leeks, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 lb potato, cubed
salt, to taste
pepper, to taste
6 cups vegetable broth
2 cups water
2 sprigs fresh thyme
1 bay leaf
¼ cup fresh chives, chopped
hot sauce, to taste

Steps:

  • Melt butter on medium heat in a large pot. Add the chopped leeks and stir until coated with butter.
  • Cover the pot and lower heat, cook for around 10 minutes until the leeks have softened.
  • Increase to medium-high. Add garlic, potatoes, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1 minute, then add vegetable broth, water, thyme, and bay leaf. Bring to a boil.
  • Lower heat and cover pot with a lid and simmer for 15 minutes, or until potatoes are tender and easily speared by a fork.

3 cups cubed peeled potatoes
1 small carrot, grated
1/2 cup chopped onion

3 medium red potatoes
2 cups water
1 small onion
3 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
crushed red pepper flakes
ground black pepper
3 cups milk
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup cooked ham, cubed

Steps:

  • Peel potatoes and cut into 1-inch cubes.
  • Bring water to a boil in large saucepan. Add potatoes and cook until tender.

6 baking potatoes, peeled and diced
2 cups carrots, peeled and thinly sliced
2 cups finely chopped celery
1 cup diced onion
2 teaspoons salt
3 quarts water
5 cups all-purpose flour

2 eggs, beaten
1 ¼ cups water
1 cup butter
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons salt
1 quart milk
1 cup Cheddar cheese

  • Place the potatoes, carrots, celery, onion, 2 teaspoons of salt, and 3 quarts of water into a large pot. Bring to a boil over high heat while you proceed to make the knipla.
  • Combine 5 cups of flour and 1 teaspoon of salt in a large bowl; pour in the eggs and 1 1/4 cups water. Mix until the dough comes together, about two minutes. Knead on a lightly floured surface for 3 to 5 minutes until elastic. Using kitchen scissors, snip off pieces of the dough into the boiling soup. Boil until the knipla rise to the surface, then reduce heat to low, and simmer while you make the cheese sauce.
  • Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat, then whisk in 1 cup of flour and 2 teaspoons of salt. 5 slices bacon
2 tablespoons butter
3 medium boiling potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/2 inch dice
4 medium celery ribs, diced
1 large carrot, diced
1/2 medium onion, diced

2 cups milk
2 tablespoons cornstarch, disolved in
1/2 cup cold water
