UNSTUFFED CABBAGE ROLL

This is a quick and easy main dish. My kids don't even like cabbage, but they love this. I usually try to serve it with green beans, new potatoes, corn, and a pan of corn bread. They eat over half the pan every time. Also, the longer it stands the better it tastes.

  • Use a good-quality tomato sauce. This will make a big difference in the overall flavor of the casserole.
  • If you don't have any cooked rice, you can use instant rice instead. Just be sure to follow the package directions for cooking it.
  • Top the casserole with a generous amount of cheese. This will help to make it gooey and delicious.
