DELICIOUS CROCK POT PORK CHOPS

Delicious Crock Pot Pork Chops image

This is the first meal I ever made for DH when we were first dating... not knowing he hated pork. Luckily this dish changed his mind and now he loves it. You can't get easier than this and it is so tasty! The chops don't have to be seared first if you don't have time but it definitely adds to the flavor. I like to serve over white rice.

DELICIOUS PORK LOIN CHOPS (IN A CROCK POT)

Delicious Pork Loin chops (in a crock pot) image

These pork chops are so easy to make with only 2 ingredients and they are so tender and have a delicious taste with the onion mushroom gravy that they are cooked in. I like to serve these with mash potatoes or rice topped with the gravy they were cooked in..

Time 7h10m

Number Of Ingredients 4

6 large boneless top loin chops , thick cut
2 can(s) cream of mushroom soup
1 pkg dry onion soup mix
1 tsp garlic powder : optional

Steps:

  • 1. This is so good and you only need 2 main ingredients other than your pork chops.
  • 2. Place the chops in a hot skillet , season your chops with garlic powder if desired , I love the flavor of garlic.
  • 3. Brown both sides of chops just until nicely browned.
  • 4. Place your chops evenly in your crockpot.
  • 5. Mix up the soup mix with the cans of soup until all combined together.
  • 6. Pour creamed mixture over top of the chops.
  • 7. Make sure all the chops are covered evenly with the mixture , I even place some in between the chops if they are resting on each other.
  • 8. Cover and cook on low heat setting for 7 hrs. You could cook it up to 8 hrs if need be.
  • 9. Serve with mashed potatoes and use the mushroom sauce as the gravy for the potatoes.

Tips:

  • Choose the right pork chops: Look for bone-in pork chops that are at least 1-inch thick. Bone-in chops will stay more moist during cooking, and the thicker chops will ensure that they don't overcook.
  • Brown the pork chops before slow cooking: This will help to develop flavor and prevent the chops from drying out. You can brown the chops in a skillet over medium heat for a few minutes per side, or you can use the browning function on your slow cooker.
  • Use a flavorful liquid: The liquid you use to cook the pork chops will add a lot of flavor to the dish. Some good options include chicken broth, beef broth, apple juice, or white wine.
  • Add vegetables and spices: Vegetables and spices will help to add flavor and nutrients to the dish. Some good options include onions, garlic, carrots, celery, potatoes, rosemary, thyme, and sage.
  • Cook the pork chops on low for 6-8 hours: This will ensure that the chops are cooked through and tender. You can also cook the chops on high for 3-4 hours, but they may be less tender.
  • Let the pork chops rest before serving: This will allow the juices to redistribute throughout the meat, making it more tender and flavorful.

Conclusion:

Crock-Pot pork chops are a delicious and easy meal that can be enjoyed by the whole family. By following these tips, you can make sure that your pork chops are cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. So next time you're looking for a simple and satisfying meal, give crock-Pot pork chops a try!
