Tips:

  • Choose ripe dragon fruit: Look for fruit that is bright pink or red in color, with no bruises or blemishes. The flesh should be soft and slightly yielding to the touch.
  • Prepare the dragon fruit properly: Cut the dragon fruit in half lengthwise and scoop out the flesh using a spoon. Be sure to remove any seeds.
  • Use fresh lemon juice: Fresh lemon juice will help to brighten the flavor of the jam and prevent it from becoming too sweet.
  • Cook the jam over medium heat: This will help to prevent the jam from scorching and sticking to the bottom of the pot.
  • Stir the jam frequently: This will help to prevent the jam from burning and ensure that it cooks evenly.
  • Test the jam for doneness: The jam is done when it reaches a thick, spreadable consistency. To test the jam, place a small amount on a chilled plate. If the jam wrinkles when you push it with your finger, it is done.

Conclusion:

Dragon fruit jam is a delicious and versatile spread that can be enjoyed on toast, crackers, or yogurt. It can also be used as a filling for pies, tarts, and other desserts. With its vibrant color and unique flavor, dragon fruit jam is sure to be a hit with your family and friends.
