Tips:

  • Choose fresh artichokes: Look for artichokes that are heavy for their size, with tightly closed leaves and no signs of bruising or discoloration.
  • Prepare the artichokes properly: Trim the artichokes by cutting off the stem and about 1 inch of the top of the leaves. Then, spread the leaves apart and remove the fuzzy choke from the center.
  • Use a good quality crescent roll dough: The crescent roll dough is the base of these squares, so it's important to use a good quality dough. Look for a dough that is flaky and buttery.
  • Don't overcook the artichokes: Artichokes can easily become overcooked, so it's important to cook them just until they are tender. Overcooked artichokes will be mushy and bland.
  • Serve the squares warm: These squares are best served warm, right out of the oven. They can be served as an appetizer or a main course.

Conclusion:

Artichoke crescent squares are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer or main course. They are perfect for parties or potlucks, and they can be made ahead of time. With a few simple tips, you can make sure that your artichoke crescent squares are perfect every time.
