4-1/2 cups water
2 cans (14-1/2 ounces each) diced tomatoes, undrained
1 can (16 ounces) kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 can (15-1/2 ounces) great northern beans, rinsed and drained
1 can (15 ounces) garbanzo beans or chickpeas, rinsed and drained
2 medium green peppers, chopped
2 medium onions, chopped
2 celery ribs, chopped
1 medium zucchini, sliced
2 teaspoons chicken bouillon granules
2 garlic cloves, minced
2-1/2 teaspoons chili powder
2 teaspoons dried basil
1-1/2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
2 bay leaves
3/4 pound smoked kielbasa or smoked Polish sausage, halved lengthwise and sliced

Steps:

  • In a soup kettle or Dutch oven, combine all ingredients except the sausage. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 1 hour. Add sausage and heat through. Discard bay leaves.

2 (14 1/2 ounce) cans beef broth
1/2 cup water
1 large potato, peeled and diced
2 carrots, peeled and thinly sliced
2 stalks celery, thinly sliced
1/2 cup diced yellow onion
16 ounces kielbasa, thinly sliced
2 (11 1/2 ounce) cans campbell's bean with bacon soup
black pepper, season to taste

Steps:

  • In a kettle or Dutch oven, add broth, water and vegetables.
  • Bring to a boil; reduce heat, and simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Add both cans of soup, and the sliced kielbasa.
  • Season with black pepper.
  • Heat through and serve.
  • Note: When adding carrots, I added 1 cup of sliced baby carrots, and I substituted Hillshire Farm Smoked Sausage for the kielbasa.

1 package (16 oz) smoked kielbasa sausage, cut lengthwise in half, then cut crosswise into slices
2 cartons (32 oz each) Progresso™ chicken broth (8 cups)
4 medium carrots, chopped (2 cups)
3 medium stalks celery, chopped (1 1/2 cups)
1 large onion, chopped (1 cup)
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained

Steps:

  • In 5- to 6-quart slow cooker, mix all ingredients except tomatoes.
  • Cover and cook on Low heat setting 8 to 10 hours.
