Steps:
- Into my Large stand mixer I add the braunschweiger and cream cheese, onions, beer and worcestershire sauce. I mix it very well so there are not big clumps of braunschweiger or cream cheese.
- I turn it out onto waxed paper or parchment. I form the ball or make smaller ones for gifts to share, at this point. Using the leftover creamcheese for frosting the balls, them garnish them how ever I think is neat. Use capers, green or black olives, parsley...basically anything savory.
- Place wrapped into the refrigerator for 5 hours to set up!!! You will get loads of compliments and raves for the recipe!!!
Tips:
- Make sure all ingredients are cold before starting. This will help the mixture to hold its shape better.
- Use a food processor to grind the beef and pork until it is very fine. This will ensure a smooth texture for the braunschweiger.
- If you don't have a food processor, you can grind the beef and pork by hand using a meat grinder. Just be sure to grind it until it is very fine.
- Be careful not to overmix the braunschweiger mixture. Overmixing can make the braunschweiger tough.
- If you want a smoother braunschweiger, you can strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve before cooking.
- Braunschweiger can be cooked in a variety of ways. It can be boiled, fried, or baked.
- Braunschweiger is a versatile ingredient that can be used in a variety of dishes. It can be served as an appetizer, main course, or sandwich filling.
Conclusion:
Braunschweiger is a delicious and versatile dish that is easy to make. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can create a delicious braunschweiger that your family and friends will love.
