This is a quick but company-worthy cobbler. So simple, yet wins rave reviews. If desired, use 2 (32 ounce) cans of peaches in place of fresh peaches. If doing this, use peach syrup instead of water and then omit the white sugar from recipe. Also, yellow cake mix can be substituted for the white.

Time 45m

Number Of Ingredients 4

3 8.5 oz cans sliced peaches, drained
1 box yellow cake mix
2 tsp cinnamon
1 stick butter

Tips:

  • Use fresh or frozen peaches: Fresh peaches are ideal for making cobbler, but frozen peaches can also be used. If using frozen peaches, thaw them completely before using.
  • Choose a cake mix that you like: Any type of cake mix can be used to make cobbler, but a yellow cake mix or a white cake mix works best. You can also use a gluten-free cake mix if you need to.
  • Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing the batter will make the cobbler tough. Mix the batter just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Bake the cobbler until it is golden brown and bubbly: The cobbler is done baking when the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbly. A toothpick inserted into the center of the cobbler should come out clean.
  • Serve the cobbler warm with your favorite toppings: Cobbler is best served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, or fresh fruit.
