EASY CHICKEN IN A CROCK POT

Easy Chicken in a Crock Pot image

This is one easy delicious crock pot recipe for a whole chicken. I do cut the chicken in half and it still looks like chicken, instead of pieces. I also wanted one that had chicken flavor but not other flavors that would clash with other recipes for which I would use the left over chicken.

Tips:

  • To ensure your chicken is cooked through, use a meat thermometer to check that the internal temperature has reached 165°F (74°C).
  • Feel free to adjust the cooking time depending on the size of your chicken breasts. Smaller breasts may take less time to cook, while larger breasts may require a little more time.
  • For added flavor, try marinating your chicken breasts in a mixture of olive oil, herbs, spices, and citrus juice before cooking.
  • To prevent your chicken from drying out, add a cup of broth or water to the crock pot before cooking.
  • If you're short on time, you can also cook chicken breasts in the crock pot on high for 4-6 hours.
