Time 20m

Yield 6-8 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 4

6 -8 pork chops
2 -3 teaspoons Kitchen Bouquet
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder (divided)
1/8 teaspoon celery seed (divided)

Steps:

  • Rub both sides of the chops with the Kitchen Bouquet.
  • Sprinkle the chops with half of the garlic salt and celery seed on each side.
  • Grill or broil on medium to medium-high heat for 5-7 minutes per side for thin chops or 8-10 minutes per side for thicker chops OR until medium-well or well-done, according to personal preference.
  • Do not overcook or they will be dry.

Tips:

  • Choose the Right Pork Chops: Select pork chops that are at least 1 inch thick and have a good amount of marbling. This will help ensure that they stay juicy and flavorful during grilling.
  • Brine the Pork Chops: Brining the pork chops in a mixture of salt, water, and seasonings helps to tenderize them and infuse them with flavor. You can brine the pork chops for as little as 30 minutes or up to overnight.
  • Use a Hot Grill: Preheat your grill to high heat before cooking the pork chops. This will help to sear the outside of the chops and prevent them from sticking to the grill.
  • Cook the Pork Chops Indirectly: If you are using a gas grill, turn off one of the burners and cook the pork chops over the unlit burner. If you are using a charcoal grill, push the coals to one side and cook the pork chops over the indirect heat.
  • Monitor the Internal Temperature: The best way to ensure that the pork chops are cooked to perfection is to use a meat thermometer. The internal temperature of the pork chops should reach 145°F (63°C) for medium-rare, 155°F (68°C) for medium, and 165°F (74°C) for well-done.
  • Let the Pork Chops Rest: Once the pork chops are cooked, let them rest for 5-10 minutes before serving. This will allow the juices to redistribute throughout the chops, resulting in a more tender and flavorful bite.

Conclusion:

Grilling pork chops is a quick and easy way to enjoy a delicious and flavorful meal. By following these tips, you can ensure that your grilled pork chops are cooked to perfection every time. Serve the grilled pork chops with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad. Enjoy!
