Tips:

  • Use a good quality canned tuna. Look for tuna that is packed in water or olive oil, and avoid tuna that is packed in oil or brine.
  • Flake the tuna well before adding it to the pot pie filling. This will help to distribute the tuna evenly and prevent it from clumping together.
  • Use a variety of vegetables in your pot pie filling. This will add flavor and texture to the dish. Some good options include carrots, celery, peas, and corn.
  • Don't overcook the pot pie filling. The vegetables should be tender, but still have a little bit of crunch to them.
  • Use a pre-made pie crust to save time. You can also make your own pie crust if you prefer.
  • Brush the top of the pie crust with milk or egg wash before baking. This will help to give the crust a golden brown color.
  • Serve the pot pie hot with your favorite sides. Some good options include mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or salad.

Conclusion:

Tuna pot pie is a classic comfort food that is perfect for a weeknight meal. It is easy to make and can be tailored to your own liking. With a few simple tips, you can make a delicious and satisfying tuna pot pie that the whole family will enjoy.
