  • Use a variety of beans and vegetables to create a flavorful and hearty chili. Choose beans that hold their shape well, such as kidney beans, black beans, or pinto beans. Add chopped vegetables like onions, bell peppers, and corn for a colorful and nutritious meal.
  • Season the chili well with chili powder, cumin, oregano, and garlic. You can also add a touch of heat with cayenne pepper or hot sauce. Be sure to taste the chili as you go and adjust the seasonings to your liking.
  • Let the chili simmer for at least 30 minutes, or longer if you have time. This will allow the flavors to meld and develop. If the chili is too thick, you can add some water or broth. If it is too thin, you can simmer it for longer or add a cornstarch slurry.
  • Serve the chili with your favorite toppings, such as shredded cheese, sour cream, diced avocado, or chopped cilantro. You can also serve it over rice, pasta, or tortilla chips.
