Time 1h30m

Number Of Ingredients 12

3 cups granulated sugar
1 (15-ounce) can pumpkin puree
1 cup vegetable oil
2/3 cup water
4 eggs
3 1/2 cups (476 grams) all-purpose flour

1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup mini semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease 3 (9x5-inch) loaf pans or 3 (1-pound-size) coffee cans heavily with butter and coat with flour.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the sugar, pumpkin puree, vegetable oil, water, and eggs until smooth.
  • Sift in the flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking, soda, and salt. Gently mix until streaks of flour disappear. Stir in the chocolate chips and chopped walnuts.

Nutrition Facts : Calories 210 cal

Tips:

  • Make sure to use fresh pumpkin puree for the best flavor and texture. You can make your own puree by roasting a pumpkin and then pureeing it in a food processor, or you can use canned pumpkin puree.
  • Use a combination of chocolate chips for a more complex flavor. You could use semi-sweet, dark, or milk chocolate chips, or even a mix of all three.
  • Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing can make the bread tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Bake the bread in a loaf pan that is greased and floured. This will help the bread to rise evenly and prevent it from sticking to the pan.
  • Check the bread for doneness with a toothpick. Insert a toothpick into the center of the bread. If it comes out clean, the bread is done.
  • Let the bread cool completely before slicing and serving. This will help the bread to hold its shape and prevent it from crumbling.

Conclusion:

Chocolate chip pumpkin bread is a delicious and easy-to-make treat that is perfect for fall. With its moist texture, sweet flavor, and chocolatey goodness, this bread is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it. So next time you're looking for a sweet treat to bake, give this chocolate chip pumpkin bread recipe a try. You won't be disappointed!
