Tips for Making Fettuccine Scallop Alfredo

  • Use fresh scallops. Frozen scallops can be tough and rubbery. If you can, buy live scallops and shuck them yourself.
  • Sear the scallops properly. Searing the scallops gives them a nice golden brown crust and helps to lock in their flavor.
  • Use a good quality Alfredo sauce. You can make your own Alfredo sauce or use a store-bought sauce. If you are using a store-bought sauce, be sure to choose one that is made with real cheese and cream.
  • Cook the fettuccine al dente. Al dente means "to the tooth" in Italian. This means that the pasta should be cooked through but still have a slight bite to it.
  • Combine the scallops, Alfredo sauce, and fettuccine in a large bowl. Toss to coat.
  • Serve immediately. Fettuccine scallop Alfredo is a delicious and easy-to-make dish. It is perfect for a special occasion or a weeknight meal.
