FOURTH OF JULY FIESTA SALAD

On one of the most celebrated holidays it just a given that we'll plan an outside activities and food. Speaking of black beans, what an easy and tasty recipe! And all you do is open a few cans, a small amount of chopping, and you're good to go! Did someone say picnic? Here's a tip: instead of chopping the tomatoes, green onions, and cilantro, just use your favorite salsa, or better yet, try my Salsa My Way #218314. I hope you enjoy this recipe and my salsa recipe. Roma tomatoes are usually longer than a regular tomato. They are used primarily in Italian food recipes. They have more pulp than regular tomatoes, and have less juice.

FOURTH OF JULY SALAD

Fourth of July Salad image

I received this recipe after having it at a 4th of July party. Hence the name for this different 7 layer salad. This is a great tasting and looking salad. When I make this salad for just us, I keep all ingredients separate, then I don't have soggy lettuce the next time I eat the salad.

Tips:

  • Use fresh ingredients: The fresher the ingredients, the better your salad will taste. This is especially important for the corn, tomatoes, and avocado.
  • Don't overcook the corn: You want the corn to be slightly crisp, not mushy. Cook it for just a few minutes, until it is bright yellow and tender.
  • Use a good quality cheese: The cheese is one of the main ingredients in this salad, so it's important to use a good quality cheese that you enjoy. A sharp cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese would be a good choice.
  • Season the salad to taste: Add salt, pepper, and cumin to taste. You may also want to add a squeeze of lime juice or a pinch of cayenne pepper.
  • Serve the salad immediately: This salad is best served immediately after it is made. The avocado will start to brown if it sits for too long.

Conclusion:

This Fiesta Salad is a delicious and refreshing dish that is perfect for a summer party or potluck. It is easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste. So next time you are looking for a healthy and flavorful salad, give this Fiesta Salad a try. You won't be disappointed!
