Spiedis (pronounced "speedeez") are a type of grilled meat sandwich considered a local specialty. This recipe is my own, but there are many variations in our area. In nearby Binghamton, Spiedi-Fest is held on August, featuring this delicious dish made of all different kinds of meat. Thousands of people attend. I hope you enjoy my pork version. -Beatrice Riddell, Chenango Bridge, New York

These pork spiedis are so easy to make and they are always a hit with my family. I love that I can use any type of pork I have on hand and the marinade is so versatile. I've even used it to marinate chicken and it was delicious.

These pork spiedis are a great way to use up leftover pork. I made them with some leftover pulled pork and they were amazing. The marinade adds so much flavor to the meat.
