Tips:

  • To make the tastiest freezer spaghetti sauce, use fresh, ripe tomatoes. You can also use canned tomatoes, but make sure they are high-quality and have no added salt or sugar.
  • Use a variety of vegetables in your sauce, such as onions, carrots, celery, bell peppers, and mushrooms. This will add flavor and texture to the sauce.
  • Season your sauce with salt, pepper, garlic, and oregano. You can also add other herbs and spices, such as basil, thyme, or rosemary, to taste.
  • Cook your sauce on low heat for at least 30 minutes, or until it has thickened. This will allow the flavors to develop and meld together.
  • Let your sauce cool completely before freezing it. This will help to prevent the sauce from separating.
  • Freeze your sauce in airtight containers. You can use freezer bags, freezer-safe containers, or even ice cube trays.

Freezer spaghetti sauce is a delicious and convenient way to have a homemade meal on hand whenever you need it. With a little planning ahead, you can easily make a batch of sauce and freeze it for later. When you're ready to eat, simply thaw the sauce and heat it through.
