1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 teaspoon anise extract
3-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
GLAZE:
3 cups confectioners' sugar
4 teaspoons butter, softened
3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 to 1/3 cup 2% milk
Colored sprinkles, optional

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy, 5-7 minutes. Beat in eggs and extracts. In another bowl, whisk flour and baking powder; gradually beat into creamed mixture., Drop by tablespoonfuls 2 in. apart onto greased baking sheets. Bake 8-10 minutes or until light brown.
