Tips:

  • Choose the right cut of steak: Flank steak, skirt steak, or hanger steak are all good choices for this recipe. They are relatively inexpensive and cook quickly.
  • Slice the steak against the grain: This will help the steak to cook evenly and tender.
  • Marinate the steak: Marinating the steak in a mixture of olive oil, garlic, and herbs will help to tenderize it and add flavor.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan: When cooking the steak, make sure to give it enough space in the pan so that it can cook evenly.
  • Cook the steak over high heat: This will help to sear the outside of the steak and keep it juicy on the inside.
  • Let the steak rest: After cooking the steak, let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it. This will help the juices to redistribute throughout the steak.
  • Serve the steak with your favorite sides: Garlic buttered steak is delicious served with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a salad.
