GARLIC CHICKEN PUFFS RECIPE - (4.5/5)

Number Of Ingredients 4

4 ounces cream cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 cup chicken, cooked, shredded
2 (8 count) cans refrigerator crescent rolls

Steps:

  • Mix cream cheese, garlic and chicken until well blended. Unroll crescent rolls and cut each triangle into 2 triangles (when you unroll the crescent rolls, 2 triangles are attached making a big square, I just cut from there following the perforation for one cut and made another cut from the other corners (giving you 4 little triangles) Place 1 teaspoon of chicken mixture on the center of each triangle and fold the corners in over the creamy mixture. Place on cookie sheet, lined with aluminum foil and sprayed with no stick spray. Bake at 375 degrees fahrenheit for 11-14 mins. Notes: For cooked chicken, I buy a big bags of frozen chicken tenderloins, I toss 6 of them on a cookie sheet and baked for about 25 mins.

Tips:

1. **Use fresh garlic:** Fresh garlic has a stronger flavor and aroma than pre-packaged garlic. If you don't have fresh garlic, you can use ½ teaspoon of garlic powder instead. 2. **Don't overcook the chicken:** Overcooked chicken will be tough and dry. Cook the chicken until it is just cooked through, about 5 minutes per side. 3. **Use a good quality puff pastry:** The quality of the puff pastry will make a big difference in the final product. Look for a puff pastry that is made with real butter and has a high fat content. 4. **Chill the puff pastry before baking:** Chilling the puff pastry before baking will help it to rise evenly. 5. **Brush the puff pastry with egg wash before baking:** Egg wash will give the puff pastry a golden brown color. 6. **Serve the garlic chicken puffs warm:** Garlic chicken puffs are best served warm, right out of the oven.

Conclusion:

Garlic chicken puffs are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer that is perfect for any occasion. They are made with a combination of garlic, chicken, and puff pastry, and they are baked until golden brown. Garlic chicken puffs are a great way to use up leftover chicken, and they can also be made ahead of time and frozen. Whether you are serving them as an appetizer or a main course, garlic chicken puffs are sure to be a hit.
