1 ounce reduced fat cream cheese
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
6 ounces fresh baby spinach leaves

Tips:

  • Use high-quality ingredients: The better the ingredients, the better the dish will be. This means using fresh, ripe vegetables, high-quality pasta, and flavorful cheese.
  • Don't overcook the pasta: Pasta should be cooked al dente, meaning it should still have a slight bite to it. Overcooked pasta will be mushy and unpleasant.
  • Sauté the vegetables until they are tender-crisp: This will help them retain their flavor and texture.
  • Use a flavorful cheese: The cheese is one of the key ingredients in this dish, so make sure to use a cheese that has a lot of flavor. Gouda is a good option, but you can also use Parmesan, cheddar, or mozzarella.
  • Add the spinach at the end of cooking: Spinach cooks very quickly, so it should be added to the dish at the very end of cooking. This will prevent it from becoming overcooked and wilted.

Conclusion:

Gouda penne with spinach is a quick and easy dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal. It is made with simple, affordable ingredients, and it is packed with flavor. The creamy gouda sauce, the tender-crisp vegetables, and the fresh spinach make this dish a hit with everyone who tries it. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy pasta dish, give gouda penne with spinach a try.
