Tips for Making Grandma's Hash Browns:

  • Use fresh potatoes. Fresh potatoes will give you the best flavor and texture.
  • Grate the potatoes evenly. This will help them cook evenly.
  • Squeeze out the excess moisture from the potatoes. This will help them crisp up.
  • Use a large skillet. This will give the hash browns plenty of room to cook.
  • Heat the skillet over medium heat. This will help the hash browns cook evenly without burning.
  • Don't overcrowd the skillet. This will prevent the hash browns from cooking evenly.
  • Cook the hash browns for 10-12 minutes per side, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
  • Season the hash browns with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve the hash browns immediately. They are best when they are hot and crispy.

Conclusion:

Grandma's hash browns are a classic breakfast dish that is easy to make and delicious to eat. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can make a batch of hash browns that will rival any restaurant's. So next time you're looking for a hearty and satisfying breakfast, give Grandma's hash browns a try. You won't be disappointed.
