Steps:
- In a bowl combine all wet ingredients. Pour 1 cup of the marinade into a resealable plastic bag. Add steak and marinate 6-8 hours, turning bag occasoinally.
- Grill steak to desired level of doneness, basting occasionally with the reserved marinade.
Tips:
- Choose the right cut of steak: A good steak for grilling should be at least 1 inch thick and have a good amount of marbling. Some good options include ribeye, strip steak, and flank steak.
- Marinate the steak: Marinating the steak helps to tenderize it and add flavor. You can use a variety of marinades, but a simple mixture of olive oil, garlic, herbs, and spices is always a good choice.
- Grill the steak over high heat: This will help to sear the outside of the steak and keep it juicy on the inside. Cook the steak for 3-4 minutes per side for a medium-rare steak, or 5-6 minutes per side for a medium-well steak.
- Let the steak rest before serving: This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the steak, resulting in a more tender and flavorful steak.
Conclusion:
Grilled citrus steak is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a summer cookout. By following the tips above, you can ensure that your steak is cooked to perfection and full of flavor. So fire up the grill and enjoy!
