Tips:

  • Use a good quality ground beef. An 80/20 blend is a good option, as it has enough fat to keep the meat moist, but not so much that it's greasy.
  • Season the ground beef well. Use a variety of spices and herbs to give the meat flavor. Garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper are all good options.
  • Don't overcook the ground beef. Cook it just until it's browned and no longer pink in the center. Overcooked ground beef is tough and dry.
  • Use a variety of fillings. The possibilities are endless! Some popular fillings include cheese, vegetables, and cooked rice or quinoa.
  • Make sure the spiral bake is cooked through. Insert a meat thermometer into the center of the bake. It should read 165 degrees Fahrenheit.

Conclusion:

Ground beef spiral bakes are a delicious and easy meal that can be made with a variety of ingredients. They're perfect for a weeknight dinner or a special occasion. With a little planning, you can create a spiral bake that everyone will love. So next time you're looking for a new and exciting way to cook ground beef, give this recipe a try!
