Provided by Food Network Kitchen

Time 1h5m

Yield 10 to 12 servings

Number Of Ingredients 6

Two 20-ounce cans pineapple chunks, juice reserved
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 cups roughly crushed buttery crackers, such as Ritz (45 crackers; 1 1/2 sleeves)
2 cups grated sharp Cheddar
1 stick (8 tablespoons) unsalted butter, melted and cooled

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Drain the pineapple juice into a liquid measuring cup; you should have 1 1/2 cups. Whisk in the sugar and cornstarch until the sugar dissolves. Spread the pineapple chunks in the bottom of a 13-by-9-inch baking dish and pour over the pineapple juice mixture, stirring to coat the chunks evenly.
  • In a large bowl, stir together the crushed crackers, cheese and butter, then sprinkle the topping evenly over the pineapple. Bake the casserole until the topping is golden brown, the cheese is melted and the pineapple is bubbling in the center of the dish, 35 to 40 minutes. BAKED HAM WITH PINEAPPLE

Baked Ham With Pineapple image

I got this from the Taste of Home website. The original recipe calls for a fully cooked ham but I always use an uncooked ham and cook it myself, you just have to cook it longer but a cooked ham would do just as well. This is the best ham I've ever had...honestly!

Provided by msjill111

Categories     Ham

Time 3h15m

Yield 16-20 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 (6 -8 lb) fully cooked bone in ham (6-8 pounds)
whole cloves
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 (8 ounce) can pineapple slices, drained
1/4 cup pineapple juice
5 maraschino cherries

Steps:

  • Place ham in roasting pan.
  • Score the surface with shallow diagonal cuts, making diamond shapes.
  • Insert cloves into diamonds (use as many as you'd like). I like to use quite a few.
  • Cover and bake at 325°F for 1 1/2 hours. Longer if using an uncooked ham. Go according to package directions.
  • Combine brown sugar and pineapple juice, pour over ham.
  • Arrange pineapple and cherries on ham and secure with toothpicks.
  • Bake, uncovered an additional 30-45 minutes or until a meat thermometer reads 140°F.

Tips:

  • To ensure the ham is cooked evenly, choose a ham that is no larger than 10 pounds. If you are using a larger ham, you will need to increase the cooking time.
  • If you don't have a pineapple ring, you can use canned pineapple slices. Just drain them well before using.
  • You can use any type of cheese that you like for the topping. Cheddar, mozzarella, and Swiss are all good choices.
  • If you want a sweeter glaze, you can add a little bit of brown sugar or honey to the glaze ingredients.
  • Be sure to preheat your oven before baking the ham. This will help the ham cook evenly.
  • If you have leftover ham, you can use it in sandwiches, salads, or casseroles.

Conclusion:

Ham and pineapple bake is a classic dish that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser. With its sweet and savory flavor, ham and pineapple bake is a dish that everyone will love. So next time you are looking for a delicious and easy meal, give ham and pineapple bake a try.
