Time 6h30m

Yield 8

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 (20 ounce) cans crushed pineapple in heavy syrup
2 cups heavy whipping cream
½ cup brown sugar
1 (7 ounce) can fully cooked luncheon meat (such as SPAM®), diced
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 dragon fruit, peeled and cubed

Steps:

  • Drain pineapple in a fine-mesh colander. Reserve 1 cup of the syrup and refrigerate until use.

  • Place cubed luncheon meat in a large skillet over medium-high heat and cook for 10 minutes. Flip with a spatula every 2 minutes so all sides brown nicely. Add reserved pineapple syrup and 2 tablespoons brown sugar to the skillet; continue cooking until thick and bubbly, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
  • While the meat caramel is cooling, pour cold pineapple mixture into an ice cream maker and freeze according to manufacturer's instructions, about 20 minutes. Add dragon fruit in the last 5 minutes of churning.
  • Pour the ice cream into an airtight, freezer-safe bowl. Fold in the meat caramel. Freeze until firm, about 4 hours.

HAWAII 5-0 COOKIES

Hawaii 5-0 Cookies image

I am not a great cook, but I love to make these cookies with my kids. They got their name because I would always say, "Cook 'em, Dano" when I put them in the oven, and my squad car number is 5-0, so my kids started calling them the Hawaii 5-0 cookies. Even though they are quick and super easy, they still taste great.

HAWAII FIVE-O COCKTAIL

Hawaii Five-O Cocktail image

This tropical drink is from Safeway's website, posted by LSheridan. It's really delicious, with a wonderful Hawaiian flair to it. I garnished our drinks with skewer that had a pineapple chunk and a red cherry on it, but I think a wedge of lime or orange segment would be a great garnish, too.

HAWAIIAN ICE CREAM

Provided by VeggieCook98

Categories     Ice Cream

Time 20m

Yield 7 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 cup milk
3/4 cup sugar
2 cups heavy cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
2/3 cup unsweetened dried shredded coconut
1/2 cup pineapple (cut thin, squezed dry, and flaked up)
1/4 cup mashed banana

Steps:

  • Whisk Milk and Sugar together until Sugar is dissolved.
  • Stir in Cream, Vanilla, Coconut, Pineapple, and Banana.
  • Puree in blender until still slightly chunky.
  • Freeze in ice cream maker according to manufactures directions. Freeze until hard in the freezer.
  • Enjoy!

Tips:

  • Use fresh, ripe fruit. This will give your ice cream the best flavor.
  • Don't over churn the ice cream. Over churning will make the ice cream icy.
  • Chill the ice cream base before churning. This will help the ice cream freeze more quickly and smoothly.
  • Use an ice cream maker that is large enough for the amount of ice cream you are making. If the ice cream maker is too small, the ice cream will not churn properly.
  • Serve the ice cream immediately or store it in the freezer for later. Ice cream can be stored in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.

Conclusion:

Making ice cream at home is a fun and rewarding experience. With a little practice, you can make delicious ice cream that your family and friends will love. So get creative and experiment with different flavors and toppings. The possibilities are endless!
