LINDA'S HAWAIIAN BARBECUE SAUCE FOR BARBECUE CHICKEN AND RIBS
This sauce is so good I entered it in the BBQ Sauce Cook Off 9/07. Use this sauce on ribs, chicken, pork chops, seafood... Heck, just about anything! It promises to give you the ULTIMATE in flavor. I used this sauce on ribs, and they are absolutely to die for, and the BEST ribs I have ever had the pleasure of making and eating... This recipe is heaven sent, especially for us rib lovers, using 3 racks of baby back ribs! I double the sauce, and use every last bit. Any sauce that may be left over after basting, you can spoon on ribs right before serving. Definately one not to be missed!

HAWAIIAN BBQ BEEF RIBS
I had these ribs while in Hawaii. It's not your normal ketchup BBQ sauce. The secret is the asian shoyu sauce. I marinate them over night and cook them on the BBQ in a flash. They are a MUST try. I served 10# of them at a recent BBQ as the main meat and they were gone in a flash! Mahalo!

Steps:
- 1. I have my local market cut these for me when doing a big BBQ. I get a 10 lb. bag of them and put them individually in a large aluminum pan and pour the Hawaiian BBQ Sauce over them individually so each one can soak up the marinade well. You can marinate from 1 hour to 24 hours, the longer you marinate, the more flavor you will taste in the ribs.
- 2. Next day, cook the ribs on grill about 5-7 minutes. So easy and fast! Serve with your favorite BBQ side dishes.
Tips:
- To achieve fall-off-the-bone ribs, braise them in a slow cooker or oven for an extended period, allowing the connective tissues to break down.
- Enhance the flavor of your ribs by marinating them in a mixture of flavorful ingredients like soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and brown sugar. Experiment with different marinade recipes to find your preferred taste profile.
- Before grilling or baking, pat the ribs dry to remove excess moisture, ensuring a crispy exterior.
- Apply a flavorful rub to the ribs before cooking. Common ingredients in rubs include paprika, chili powder, cumin, and brown sugar. Rubs help create a savory crust and enhance the ribs' natural flavors.
- During grilling or baking, baste the ribs with a mixture of melted butter, honey, and spices to keep them moist and add a glossy glaze.
- For tender and juicy ribs, wrap them in aluminum foil during the final stages of cooking. This technique helps steam the ribs and prevents them from drying out.
- Let the ribs rest for a few minutes before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat, resulting in a more flavorful and tender eating experience.
Conclusion:
Creating delicious and flavorful Hawaiian ribs at home is a rewarding culinary experience. With the right ingredients, techniques, and a bit of patience, you can impress your friends and family with this delectable dish. Remember to experiment with different marinade and rub recipes, cooking methods, and grilling techniques to find the perfect combination that suits your taste preferences. Whether you prefer fall-off-the-bone tender ribs or a crispy charred exterior, the possibilities are endless. So, fire up your grill or oven, gather your ingredients, and embark on a journey of culinary exploration with Hawaiian ribs.
