Make a cooling coffee frappé with our easy recipe. Enjoy this refreshing iced coffee drink with a dollop of cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream

200ml strong coffee , chilled
50ml whole milk
1-3 tbsp sugar syrup (see goes well with)
ice cubes
whipped cream or ice cream to serve (optional)

Steps:

  • Pour the coffee into a blender with the milk and two or three handfuls of ice. Add as much sugar syrup as you like, starting with a small amount - you can always stir more in at the end if you'd like it sweeter.
  • Blend until foamy and the ice is broken into slush. Pour into a glass and add a scoop of ice cream or some whipped cream, if you like.

Number Of Ingredients 6

18 to 22 small ice cubes, crushed
7 ounces Double-Strength Coffee, recipe follows, chilled
2 tablespoons vanilla, hazelnut, raspberry, or other Fontana syrup
Whipped cream or ice cream for garnish
1 2/3 cups (16 standard scoops) coarsely ground coffee
12 cups water, simmering

Steps:

  • Place the ice, coffee, sugar, and syrup in a blender. Blend until the frappe is smooth. Pour into a large, tall glass. Garnish with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of your favorite ice cream.
  • Place coffee into a 12 cup coffee press. Add water. Allow to brew 4 minutes, plunge, then pour into an ice-filled pitcher. To prevent breakage, pour slowly and use a heat-resistant pitcher. Serve over ice, adding cream and sugar to taste.
