CHEWY, NUTTY, HEALTHY GRANOLA BARS

Chewy, Nutty, Healthy Granola Bars image

Chewy, nutty, chocolaty, and packed with tasty energy, no one will ever know these bars are low-fat and healthy! They're very easy to make and you can pack in everyone's favorite nuts and fruits. My family has now stopped buying Kashi® and chewy bars because we love these so much. These are gluten-free when made with rice flour and appear to be professionally made thanks to the small spoonful of corn syrup that keeps everything tightly combined and gives the bars a nice shine. Have fun experimenting with different combinations of nuts, dried fruits, and toppings! Almond butter works well, too!

(SUPER HEALTHY) CHEWY GRANOLA BARS

(Super Healthy) Chewy Granola Bars image

This is a base recipe that is full of nutrient rich ingredients but yet is not overly sweet. The result is a chewy, almost cake-like granola bar though not at all similar to any that you would find in the supermarket. This recipe is pretty flexible so don't hesitate to modify to suit your tastes. For a vegan version, replace the honey with maple syrup. And, try some of the suggested additions. HEALTHY NUTELLA® GRANOLA BARS

Healthy Nutella® Granola Bars image

This recipe is actually based off a recipe called Chewy, Nutty, Healthy Granola Bars that I modified. I made for my 4-H club and they loved it so much I made it a couple more times. The raisins are just a filler because I felt the granola bars were lacking without it. The granola bars still taste good without it. Dried fruit or nuts can be substituted.

HEALTHY THICK CHEWY GRANOLA BARS

Healthy Thick Chewy Granola Bars image

This was adapted from King Arthur Flour, however I tried to use healthier ingredients. I love this recipe as it is extreamly easy and flexible. This is a basic granola bar that you can add anything to. I try to make this weekly as a quick on the go breakfest or a healthy snack during the day. I've double the recipe and keep extras in the freezer.

HEALTHY CRANBERRY GRANOLA BARS

Healthy Cranberry Granola Bars image

Ever look at the ingredients on a granola box and think how this healthy treats seems to have a tad too many chemicals? Making your own granola bars and such is easy as it can get. You can also take away or add more nuts, take away the cranberries or add something else. Nuts can be crushed or chopped. Also, if you want to go vegan you can replace the honey with molasses or maple syrup. I have yet to experiment further with it since what I make already is awesome.
