  • Heat a barbecue, frying pan or griddle pan. Season the chops, then cook for 5-8 mins on each side until cooked through (if cooking in batches, wrap the cooked chops in foil while you finish the rest). Add the lemon quarters for the last min to char, then serve alongside the pork.

Tips:

  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure the pork chops are cooked to your desired doneness. Pork chops are considered safe to eat when they reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit (63 degrees Celsius).
  • Don't overcrowd the pan. If you're cooking multiple pork chops, cook them in batches to avoid overcrowding the pan. Overcrowding can cause the pork chops to steam instead of sear, resulting in a less flavorful dish.
  • Let the pork chops rest before serving. Resting the pork chops for a few minutes before serving allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat, resulting in a more tender and flavorful chop.
  • Experiment with different herbs and spices. The herb and lemon combination in this recipe is a classic, but you can easily substitute other herbs and spices to create a different flavor profile. Some good options include rosemary, thyme, sage, oregano, garlic, and paprika.

Conclusion:

This recipe for Herbed Lemon Pork Chops is a simple and flavorful dish that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. The pork chops are juicy and tender, and the lemon herb sauce is the perfect complement. This dish is perfect for a weeknight meal or a special occasion.
