ROASTED CHICKEN AND BRIE HOLLY MINI BITES

Roasted Chicken and Brie Holly Mini Bites image

I got the idea for these appetizers from my favorite sandwich at a local restaurant-a symphony of sweet fig, roasted apple, melted brie and tangy garlic mayonnaise. I re-created this delectable combination in a quick appetizer with bright red cranberries and green spinach to give it a holiday twist. These scrumptious bites only take about 20 minutes, but taste like you spent hours; you can also make them a few days in advance, then warm them in the microwave for 20-30 seconds before serving. They're the perfect party appetizer! -Terri Gilson, Calgary, Alberta

Tips:

  • To make sure your honey roasted bits and bites are crispy, use a combination of dry and wet ingredients. The dry ingredients will help to absorb the moisture from the wet ingredients, resulting in a crispy coating.
  • Be sure to use a high-quality honey. The better the honey, the better your roasted bits and bites will taste.
  • If you don't have any honey, you can substitute another liquid sweetener, such as maple syrup or brown rice syrup.
  • Be careful not to overcook the roasted bits and bites. They should be golden brown and crispy, but not burnt.
  • Let the roasted bits and bites cool completely before storing them. This will help them to stay crispy.

Conclusion:

Honey roasted bits and bites are a delicious and versatile snack or treat. They can be enjoyed on their own, or used as a topping for yogurt, oatmeal, or ice cream. They can also be used as an ingredient in other recipes, such as cookies, cakes, and granola bars.
