- 1. Mix clams and their own juice with lemon juice in saucepan and bring to boil then let gently simmer for 10 minutes. In another pan, saute onions, garlic and pepper in 1/4 cup butter. Add parsley(optional), oregano and hot pepper sauce. When tender, remove from heat and add bread crumbs. Add clam mixture and pour into flat baking dish.
