HOT SPICED TEA FOR THE HOLIDAYS

Hot Spiced Tea for the Holidays image

This is an old family favorite, handed down from my great-grandmother. The holidays officially begin with Christmas carols and my favorite hot spiced tea! Definitely a seasonal comfort beverage for me! I prefer to use fresh juices with pulp. The flavors are different. Canned pineapple in light syrup is best. Set the pineapple chunks aside for the rest of your holiday baking. Store leftovers in refrigerator and reheat as needed.

Tips for Making the Perfect Spiced Green Tea:

- Choose high-quality green tea leaves or bags. Fresh, loose-leaf tea will yield the best flavor, but tea bags are a convenient option as well. - Use filtered or spring water for the best taste. Avoid tap water, as it can contain minerals that can affect the flavor of the tea. - Bring the water to a boil, then let it cool for a minute or two before pouring it over the tea leaves. This will prevent the tea from becoming bitter. - Steep the tea for the recommended amount of time. Over-steeping can make the tea bitter, while under-steeping will result in a weak flavor. - Add spices to taste. Common spices used in spiced green tea include ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, and cloves. You can also add honey or sugar to sweeten the tea, if desired. - Enjoy your tea hot or iced. Spiced green tea can be served hot or iced, depending on your preference. If you're serving it iced, be sure to let it cool completely before pouring it over ice.

Conclusion:

Spiced green tea is a delicious and healthy beverage that can be enjoyed hot or iced. It's a great way to warm up on a cold day or cool down on a hot day. With its many health benefits, spiced green tea is a great addition to any healthy diet. So next time you're looking for a refreshing and healthy drink, reach for a cup of spiced green tea. Your body will thank you!
