EASY BAKE OVEN BAKED APPLE

Easy Bake Oven Baked Apple image

This is really yummy. The taste is close to the real one. It's *really* great if your little ones suddenly crave baked apples, though it take long time to bake a slice of apple. Your kids WILL enjoy making her/his own treat. She/he can drizzle honey before baking or use honey instead of sugar. Both works well. Have fun!

Time 25m

Yield 1 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 large apple
1/4 teaspoon butter
1/2 teaspoon sugar
ground cinnamon

  • Wash large apple.
  • Slice across apples to make slices (rings) 1/2" thick.
  • Use center slices.

Tips:

  • Choose the right apples: Use firm, tart apples that hold their shape well when baked, such as Granny Smith, Braeburn, or Honeycrisp.
  • Prepare the apples properly: Core the apples and remove the seeds, but leave the skin on. This will help the apples retain their shape and flavor.
  • Use a variety of spices: In addition to cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice, try adding other spices like ginger, cardamom, or cloves to your baked apples. This will give them a more complex flavor.
  • Sweeten the apples to taste: Use sugar, honey, or maple syrup to sweeten the apples to your liking. You can also add dried fruit, nuts, or chocolate chips for extra flavor.
  • Bake the apples until they are tender: The baking time will vary depending on the type of apples you use and the size of the apple halves. Bake the apples until they are tender when pierced with a fork, but not so long that they become mushy.

They are also a healthy snack or breakfast option. With so many different ways to prepare them, baked apples are sure to become a favorite in your home.
