Tips:

  • Use a pre-made pie crust to save time. If you're short on time, you can use a store-bought pie crust instead of making your own. Just be sure to thaw it according to the package directions before using it.
  • Choose a filling that is easy to prepare. There are many different types of fillings that you can use for a hurry-up pie, but some are easier to prepare than others. For example, a fruit filling can be made simply by combining fresh or frozen fruit with sugar and cornstarch.
  • Use a baking sheet to catch any spills. When you're baking a pie, it's always a good idea to place a baking sheet underneath the pie plate. This will catch any spills and make cleanup easier.
  • Don't overfill the pie crust. When you're filling the pie crust, be sure to leave about 1 inch of space around the edges. This will prevent the filling from bubbling over and making a mess.
  • Bake the pie until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling. The baking time will vary depending on the type of filling you're using, so be sure to check the recipe for specific instructions.

Conclusion:

Hurry-up pies are a great way to enjoy a delicious, homemade pie without spending a lot of time in the kitchen. With a little planning and preparation, you can have a hurry-up pie on the table in no time. So next time you're short on time, don't be afraid to give a hurry-up pie a try.
